In every sense of the word (Returning from Hell – Memories of Tadmur and its sisters) is the title of the book issued by the head of the Association of Lebanese Detainees in Syrian Prisons and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Monitoring Network for Human Rights and former detainee in Tadmur and Sednaya prisons, colleague Ali Abu Dahn, at the end of 2011.
In this book, colleague Abu Dahn narrates the painful journey he was subjected to during the detention that lasted 13 years since the moment of his arrest in the city of Sweida in 1987, in addition to his live observations of one of the most brutal methods of dealing with people throughout history.
Colleague Ali Abu Dahn describes in his book all the stations of detention, including his arrival to the prison in the Tadmur desert, which is considered one of the most prominent features of torture in the world, passing through Sednaya prison and its sisters from the political prisons in Syria.
Colleague Ali Abu Dahan presents the free electronic version of the book to the public opinion, the aim of which is to inform everyone about the lives of detainees who are subjected to arrests and torture in all prisons of the world, as there is no difference between all regimes that use torture and political arrests as a refuge to impose their rule on the people.
